Capturing Hope for Slave Lake

Picture
What the Event Was: Capturing Hope for Slave Lake was be set up at the Slave Lake Concert of Hope doing free family portaits - local photographers and nonlocals got involved and together on July Long Weekend new memories for those families who have lost their photographs in  the fire were created. It was free! Also the photographesr edited those photos, free, and mailed families a disk with the photos, free and free of logos and trademarks. This was not a business ploy to make money, it was a free service for those who lost everything, for for evacuees seriously hurting financial due to the evacuation or damage to their homes.

THANK YOU to the Photographers Who Took Part!

Biography
I'm Ilish Thompson and I absolutely adore photography. I am self taught and I love learning more and more about photography. I first realized I loved photography when my niece Mickey was born and from that day on I love having my camera in my hand. My family and friends have helped me and encouraged me to not give up and I intend to never give up on photography. I'm just starting and I hope you enjoy my photos. Helpful criticism is always appreciated.
