Donations - Money and Items

Picture
There are many ways you can help out the residents of Slave Lake and area. Here are some ideas for you.
Please ensure when you are donating it is to a TRUSTED source, beware of fraud as some cases have been reported. Please call the RCMP if you know of this, and also if you know of someone who picked up mastercards for being a "resident of Slave Lake" when they are in fact not and are living elsewhere. Thank you!

Donations of Items and Food
All food donations that you have (food only) can actually go to the Native Friendship Center 416–6 Avenue NE Slave Lake, AB or call them at 780-849-3039 for information on how to help. They are the Town's Food Bank, and are also gathering donations for fire relief. The process in getting food there for the evacuees is different than the usual Food Bank process, so even if you were not previously a user of the food bank, if you need support, go there.

***DONATION INFO: If you have already collected donations and are looking to take them to Slave Lake, perhaps consider
having a garage sale instead? Auction off your items and send the gift certificates or monetary donations, as space and volunteers are in short supply. Please contact Andrea Hardy at andrea@slavelake.ca for further details. I can guarantee your contributions go where they are needed most.
