Massive thanks to the Volunteer Fire Departments in Slave Lake and Smith who started battling the fire Friday, the help that came from the volunteer departments in High Prairie and Athabasca, the City departments, emergency crews, people from the town, surrounding communities, RCMP, SRD, Special Constables, bylaw officers, volunteers, hospital staff, utility crews, equipment operators - all those who stayed til the end, stayed through the cleanup and are still working hard today - you are amazing!

Athabasca Multiplex & Staff - hosted hundreds, dealt with unruly media, cared for and helped evacuees, volunteers stayed hours to help - WOW!
Buy Low Foods Athabasca - Everytime the multiplex called and needed ANYTHING - this was the company that packed it, delivered it, and didn't ask any questions just acted. Their generosity in donating thousands of dollars of food to help Slave Lake should never ever go unnoticed, and while another grocery store, a part of a major chain, in Athabasca wouldnt even put up a poster or have a bin to help these evacuees out, Buy Low did it again, no questions asked, no cost spared, out of the goodness of their hearts.
Canadian Tire - Donating over $30,000 to the Red Cross!
Canadian Tire Athabasca - again, the multiplex would call - needing tents, bug spray, air mattresses, etc - and Canadian tire would bring a truck up, just to help out. Amazing Athabasca!
City of Edmonton - Sending your firefighters!
Chrysalis Designz- Raising over $856 dollars and sending it to the humane society, library fund and grad committee http://www.chrysalisdesignz.com
The Co-operators - they have graciously donated $50000 as title sponsor for the Slave Lake Concert of Hope and their staff is out helping daily with numerous volunteering
Edmonton Humane Society - Wow wow wow these people were AMAZING! Stephanie and her crew spent hours and many sleepless nights rescuing the animals of Slave Lake and getting them food, shelter and water, and ultimately got them back to their owners. Even those that were never claimed found new homes, and many animals were also injured and rehabilitated by the EHS. Amazing for a non-profit to do this, and they didn't get any financial support to do this either! WOW! Many many thanks to the EHS, and also members of the small Slave Lake Rescue Group.

Lamb Ford - Lending me a vehicle to fit the tons and tons of donations to take north that my little focus wouldn't fit. And the had a full tank of gas in it too!
Linda Shewchuk from Preeceville, SK - Organizing her area to get donations and send them to Alberta
Manitoulin Transport - we also delivered 2 trailers of food/supplies from Westlock and Athabasca to the Community Center in Smith at no charge....we delivered food from Buy Low Foods and numerous locations in AB that sent their donations to our terminals where we delivered to the Muliplex....we had a trailer spotted at The Bear radio station in Edmonton for collection of donations....many trips but well worth the time and effort for our Slave Lakers! They also purchased 200 pizzas one night from Mike's Pizza in Athabasca and delivered up to the Multiplex for the evacuees supper. I myself, Donna Lafleur, Sales Professional, donated time at the Native Friendship Centre to sort and organize supplies and clothing. $3430 donated from our charity golf tournament in Athabasca held in Sept 2011 to Slave Lake Fire Dept....also $4000 donated to our secretary - Allison Thompson,at our local terminal, who lost her home and belongings.
Maxim Storage - Storage of all the donations, and sending one full semi truck. Half of a semi and then 15 pickup trucks.
Money Mart in Slave Lake - from a resident: "they are a great company they paid us for our lost time and also raised over 16000.00 for Slave Lake. I am proud to work for a large Franchise and corporation like this"
Morniville Chamber Of Commerce - Offering to adopt businesses
Mosquito Lake Resort - Hondo, AB - donated their time, food, supplies and campsites for evacuees.
RBC - Defferal of payments on loans and big cash donations to the rebuilding fund.
Ricky's All Day Grill - donated $1.00 from every meal in all there restaurants in Alberta May 27th to the Red Cross Slave Lake Fund and donated pancake mix and syrup to help feed fire fighters in Slave Lake

Sears Athabasca who opened up just for my family on a Sunday so I could buy a new fridge and freezer. Didn't pressure me to buy anything and then gave me a discount on top of that!
Scotiabank - Huge cash donation to the rebuilding fund - The Rotary Club of Slave Lake received $28,138 from the Scotiabank in Slave Lake...................from the account opened for Scotiabank customer donations to Slave Lake & area.
Shoppers Drug Mart - offering customers to donate their points to Slave Lake
Sportmanlike Conduct - fundrasing for brand new sports equipment to be delivered to Slave Lake
Spruce Grove Fire Department - Dontion collection center
Subway Canada - Donated $10,000.00 in Subway cash cards and gave them away to residents through community organizations, the town and Lake FM.
Teen Time Camp - Taking in hundreds of evacuees, organizing food for them, and all around being great!

UFA Alberta - Not only donating money, but the UFAs across Alberta started collecting funds and donations on their own to give to Slave Lake.
Wal-mart, Spruce Grove - Letting Peggy and her volunteer crew set up and collect donations for Slave Lake. Also, hosted some families from Slave Lake staying in the parking lot, and donated gift cards, and set up a place where people could donate cash to victims.
Water Pure and Simple – Brooks - Driving up a TON of water and donations to the Athabasca Multiplex.
Zender Ford - Buy your next vehicle at a ford dealership, either Zender or Lamb because they are fantastic! Zender gave free gas to the people driving the donations north to Westlock, provided room at their dealership for storing donations, and have done much more! They are wonderful and caring people.

Good businesses. telus, absolutely amazing, nothing else i can say. Before this happened i was going to switch to bell, now i'm a lifelong telus subscriber. Sears, great. Discounts plus threw in some free accessories whenever they could,
including free delivery. RedWillow vet in st.albert absolutely amazing. We picked up a stray kitten before leaving slave lake, redwillow vet gave him his first checkup and shots for free, and second visit is 50% off basically at cost for them, can't thank them enough. The Salvation Army, great.
